As a therapist with most of my experience in mental health and substance abuse counseling, I look at therapy as a joint effort between myself and the client to clarify their values, form their goals and take a step-by-step approach to reaching them. Currently I am training in Emotionally Focused Therapy in order to help couples reconnect and strengthen their bonds, and to help individuals heal from trauma, cope with anxiety and depression and gain resilience.

In addition to EFT I also utilize my experience in using cognitive-behavioral methods, psychodynamic talk therapy and mindfulness practices to help clients with challenges related to anxiety, depression, relationships, substance abuse, career, motivation, sexuality and gender,  parenting and postpartum challenges and chronic health issues.

I received my Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU in 2008. I have License in Mental Health Counseling. I am also a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and am educated and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic talk therapy. In addition, I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQAI community and am committed to being inclusive and respectful of all cultures. In my personal time as mother of a 4-year-old, I am studying pediatric sleep consulting practices and am always seeking to learn more about how to best raise my daughter to be confident, kind and have secure attachments.
